Ready for Summer Vacation? Is Your Vehicle Ready Too?
It’s almost time for the kids to starting to get out of school and the first day of summer is just a few weeks away! But, just because the cold weather is gone doesn’t mean your car’s safe from the elements. In fact, the heat can be just as harsh as the cold. And everyone knows an overheated engine or broken AC can put a damper on a summer road trip.
Below are some summer car maintenance tips recommended by Burlington Automotive:
1. Have your Radiator Checked
A winter of salted roads can eat away at your radiator’s core, which can lead to leakage and, ultimately, a possible over heating of your vehicle’s engine. Burlington Automotive’s technicians can check for damage and clogs and flush your cooling system if necessary.

2. Check your Battery
Heat causes battery fluid to evaporate, which can lead to corrosion. If it’s been a while since you bought your last battery, ask Burlington Automotive to inspect and test your battery’s function.

3. Test your Air Conditioning System
Preventative maintenance goes a long way when it comes your AC system. If your AC feels weak, it could be blocked or need more Freon.
While you may be tempted to save the money and just roll down the windows, consider this: the belt that’s powering your air conditioner may also be powering other parts of your engine. In fact, ignoring a weak AC could actually cause your engine to overheat. Our technicians at Burlington Automotive are here to make sure you and your engine stay cool this summer.
Remember, you can also take advantage of our $89.95 Bumper to Bumper Service Inspection Special going on now. The special includes a lube, oil filter service as well as inspection of over 99 of your vehicles components!
