North Cascades Pass Closes For The Winter Season
Snow is here which means The North Cascades Pass will be closed for the season Wednesday, December 11th at 6am for traveler safety. This is the latest seasonal closure in over a decade.
The 37-mile stretch of State Route 20 that is seasonal will close tomorrow morning. Crews will swing the North Cascade Highway gates closed at milepost 134 near Diablo and milepost 171 near Mazama. This section will remain closed until spring when will be safe for WSDOT crews to clear the road.
